Web Hosting Bonanza

No Comment // Written on Oct 02, 2008 // Computer Networking, Web and Internet, business

I myself have been wondering, searching for a few web hosting company all over the internet, but unfortunately they were a few I’ve known but basically they don’t even qualify for my own needs. As an owner of a domain, it is very important or I think this is very vital on our part. As you may know, web servers are the one who manages and stores your file on the internet together with your domain through DNS.

Based on my own experience, searching for web server or hosting services, is somehow difficult if you  just make a search unto search engine and could not get all the things you’d like to know, why not go with some web hosting directories like web hosting geeks (webhostinggeeks.com). The site is pretty good sorting all qualified and verified web hosting services, unto different categories like top 10, website hosting, blog hosting, and even according to visitors ratings.

International Talk Like a Pirate Day

1 Comment // Written on Sep 19, 2008 // People, Web and Internet, What's Up?

International Talk Like a Pirate Day (ITLAPD) is a parodic holiday invented in 1995 by John Baur (Ol’ Chumbucket) and Mark Summers (Cap’n Slappy), of Portland, Oregon, who proclaimed September 19 each year as the day when everyone in the world should talk like a pirate. For example, an observer of this holiday would greet friends not with “Hello,” but with “Ahoy, me hearty!” The holiday, and its observance, springs from a romanticized view of the Golden Age of Piracy.

According to Summers, the day is the only holiday to come into being as a result of a sports injury. He has stated that during a racquetball game between Summers and Baur, one of them reacted to the pain with an outburst of “Aaarrr!”, and the idea was born. That game took place on June 6, 1995, but out of respect for the observance of D-Day, they chose Summers’ ex-wife’s birthday, as it would be easy for him to remember.

In order to better talk like a pirate, Wikipedia has some suggestions, there’s also a wikihow page, and  finally help from Dave Barry.  For those wanting to properly celebrate with the addition of a pirate-theme party, I’ve found this site of Pirate Fonts and Symbols. To get the kids involved, you can check out National Geographic Kids Pirates page (including history, maps, games, and kid-friendly books).

The internet is only the largest and has the most coverage when it comes to online business transactions, personal transactions, and such the like. No wonder, business internet directory are created for some reasons. All listings covered on such directory are coming from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania.

This type of publishing is simply like on with a book of yellow pages that contains business listings, schools, hotels, and other related fatcs. On the other hand, these kinds of information may not be updates but basically they are trying to do their best for recent updates regarding the listings.

Wireless Technology

A few days ago I got my D-Link DWL-G122 USB Wireless Adapter from eBay, for my Intel-based Mac OS X since Atheros AR5007EG (built-in wireless adapter on my Acer Aspure 4715z) won’t work but it was detected. And so got an idea of putting wireless connection between my desktop computer and my laptop for ease of use of internet and file sharing.

As you may know, wireless routers are much that expensive like $68 for about PhP 3,000 whereas buying a portable USB wireless adapter for $16 about PhP 700, you may able to share you internet connection like as working or connecting to wireless routers. In just a few steps of clicks you may able to enable internet connection sharing using an ad-hoc technology built-in on Microsoft Windows operating systems.

If you’re interested on setting-up like this, may you want to read the instruction guide, that will be posted later.

From Honey Reyes:

Hi, just want to air my bitchiness and 4give me 4 d word. Recently, I asked help from Kevin Paquet of http://pinoyteens.net (Am I Annoying?), +639153815289 (mobile number)/ +63822440610 (landline number) with an email address service@pinoyteens.net and YM i.believe_11 who lives at Luzviminda Village Waling-waling St. 211-B, Ma-a, Davao City, Philippines, to help me with my domain (http://honeyreyes.com) since I am stupid with its technicalities in wordpress. He said he has helped a lot of bloggers for free yet I opt to give him a little reward just to help me so through gcash I sent a small amount of money (500php) even before he started to modify or edit something. I wanted to change my layout into Bradford magazine. I kept my patience coz every time we chat in YM, he has a lot of things to do in his globally famous site. I grew out of patience when after a week of not being able to post an entry or edit my own blog, he gives this message in YM that he lost his globe sim. We had an agreement he would help me for a month now, I sent him the money more than 2 weeks ago. I kept on sending him messages in YM but no reply from him even if he was online until Saturday night. I could not see him online anymore in YM which is quite unusual. I was able to rung his phone Monday morning (Aug.4) but now it

Social networking did really a great part in Web 2.0. As you may know socializing is one of the thousand things people did during their teenage life. As far as I know, it just where people can express their feelings, enjoy, entertain, and could somehow help their boredom among their busy life.

For you information, Extreme Style by VO5, is one of the many social networking online games that will allow you to have your date not physically but just virtually. Online games like that is much more better if you’re still shy and or somehow couldn’t choose the right person whom you would like to deal with since you’ll be talking them sharing some thoughts in a cooler environment of Ultimate Flirting Championship. As for my own opinion with Victory Hair, first and foremost I’ll approach her and ask for a good permission if we could chat or somehow talk just for a while and then go to a place where our own likes could match. The game will really inspire some people and get into this every now and then and getting it personally in the near future. Meanwhile you may play the game in live mode just interact with the third party tag below:

For more widgets please visit www.yourminis.com

I can concluded that someday people character would really change not wholely but just partially, since people are talking or the user is chatting and chatting fixing up things, changing some bad attitudes for them to challenge and win the game for the good of his own reputation.
