Up and Working

1 Comment // Written on Nov 05, 2008 // Computer Hardware, How To's

Recently, I bought a WLAN (Wireless Lan) for laptop since I’ve known that my current WLAN isn’t working on Mac OS X and so got to buy new one. Basically the new WLAN arrived earlier than the expected date, which is supposed to be next week. But yesterday, it just arrived.

There have been a few steps before I install it on my laptop since I need to know the hardware information so as to work on both operating system installed on my laptop, Windows Vista and Mac OS X. After few minutes of searching around google, I found out that this card is working natively (don’t need a third party driver) that will work upon completion of installation.

And so I opened up my laptop removing all warranty stickers from Acer and Octagon (whew!), and opened up the cover and so I saw the atheros wlan attached to the PCI-E port of my laptop and so I’ve pulled out the switch connector and placed it on to my new WLAN which is Broadcom 4311. And so plugged it in, and install Mac OS X (iAtkos 10.5.4) and horay! after installation I saw some prompt if I would like to connect to net since I’m using wireless router here at home, and yup its all up and working.

Wireless Technology

A few days ago I got my D-Link DWL-G122 USB Wireless Adapter from eBay, for my Intel-based Mac OS X since Atheros AR5007EG (built-in wireless adapter on my Acer Aspure 4715z) won’t work but it was detected. And so got an idea of putting wireless connection between my desktop computer and my laptop for ease of use of internet and file sharing.

As you may know, wireless routers are much that expensive like $68 for about PhP 3,000 whereas buying a portable USB wireless adapter for $16 about PhP 700, you may able to share you internet connection like as working or connecting to wireless routers. In just a few steps of clicks you may able to enable internet connection sharing using an ad-hoc technology built-in on Microsoft Windows operating systems.

If you’re interested on setting-up like this, may you want to read the instruction guide, that will be posted later.

DVD Copy Software Unleashed

Now-a-days, digital media are getting more and more sophisticated and secured especially when it comes to storage medium like CDs, DVDs, and such the like. Plus an enhanced security is made and is encrypted on DVDs and now even on regular medium or discs.

1 Click DVD Copy makes sense. The problem to such solutions is that people are really trying their best to put up and make some solutions on those things. It maybe possible to have ripped off disc contents and somehow will be able to share to others. Most DVD Copy Software has its own instructions and intrusions on how they are going to crack the disc security encrypted on it. Basically this may able to get disc contents as if it is original.

So it really makes sense huh? Hehehe, anyways, 1 Click DVD Copy Download gives you the idea what I am talking about.
