New Host. New World. New Life.

Hello and welcome to new world of The Rock | xTended. As you may know I just recently migrated (for the third time) from my previous host provided by Host Dime (Orlando, Florida) and today now located at Softlayer Technologies Inc. (United States), under the management of Intellix Systems by Francis Fueconcillo. Apparently it took me 5 hours to migrate all my files since my upload speed isn’t that fast as with other Philippine Based ISPs. Basically, I am currently subscribed with Globe Telecoms.

As of this moment you may now visibly see the latest photo uploaded on Photo Rock (An Authentic Photoblog Flavour by Joseph Rey Sator) which doesn’t work with my previous host (maybe with their PHP configuration). On the other hand, I’d like to thank Ronald Borla for spreading the info regarding this host. Lastly, hopefully it’ll give me 99.9% uptime, ‘coz as far as I know Softlayer Technologies Inc., is one of the leading dedicated web hosting which is operated by former engineers of ThePlanet.com, a leading service provider of web hosting.

So guys, I am not saying that my site runs pretty fast (I think, than with Host Dime) but for at least less downtime and less problems.

Give Way to Photo Rock!

After a few months where Photo Rock was launched that was way back months ago (mid-2008), where I started to create a new blog that conforms and elaborate my photographs but later on (late-2008) was destroyed due to a misconfiguration of my server (by the server admins) where I installed the said blog. Basically if you still don’t know about Photo Rock, well yes it’s a collection of photos where I was the one who took them using my very little Cyber-Shot 3.2 Mega pixel digital/mobile phone.

Apparently, Photo Rock didn’t really want to be gone (in any way) but an alternative was made. I manage to redirect (basically 301 temporary redirect) to my Flickr account which is active for about months now. And as of yesterday I started to re-create and manage Photo Rock and yeah its now up and running, ready to face the challenges on the web. I hope you’ll like some of my photos. I know that I am not a pro but yet I could somehow realize and internalize someday (even today) the do’s and dont’s of Photography.

As you may observed, you can see a single widget on my sidebar that provides the latest photo uploaded directly from Photo Rock, but unfortunately it’s not yet working since I couldn’t figure out the problem (maybe with the plugin), but soon it’ll work (I’m currently seeking for a solution by the experts).

I hope this could be a good jump start for me on my photographic skills, please don’t forget (if you got a chance to visit my Photo page) to write on some of your personal evaluation by pulling out a single comment as well placing a rate on some photos (if possible all photos, hehehe). New Year Jumpstart

Welcome to 2009 and this year Ox, and according to the Chinese calendar they are found to be steady, plain, and quiet. They arrange things system-atically and they are patient and tireless. They are usually ready to take others advice and act with justice. But it is not easy to change their minds because they are stubborn and sometimes prejudice. Whew.. Pretty nice and smooth but unfortunately I wasn’t born on the year of Ox.

Moving on… It was about 10 hours ago that Google, a top leading search engine, made an update with their famous PR (Page Rank) servicing to most websites (thanks to Kevin Paquet for reminding me), apparently my site was ranked 2 of 10, pretty low but at least my page or should I say my site had acquired a little percent of having my posts/pages indexed unto Google’s search engine.

As for my new years resolution, I couldn’t promise anything since I could easily broke up but at least I have this feeling of reducing my weight and also my tummy belly (which isn’t that fat), and maybe I should keep up a healthy but not thin body. To give that a resolution, I signed up for a contract with Holiday Gym and Spa which I will be starting tomorrow (January 2, 2009). Guess what? I’m pretty excited, new world, new people, new facilities. What could I wish more?
